Our belief that Life is Beautiful is rooted in everything we do, even in our name. As we searched for a name that reflected this belief, we kept coming back to a name that is shared with many in Colleen’s family. Evelyn was her grandmother, it is her own middle name, and it is the name of her youngest niece.

When researching the origins of the name Colleen focused on her Irish heritage and it was the Irish translation that clinched it as our candy shop’s name.

Evelyn is from the Irish Éibhleann which is said to be derived from the Old Irish óiph which means beauty.

Evelyn is beauty, it was meant to be.
